I was absolutely thrilled to share Christianne’s Golden Mimosa with my friend- and fellow mom- Dina Kupfer on Good Day CBS (see the full segments below). We had so much fun sharing the recipe and inspiration behind it. It perfectly captured what this recipe is all about: connection, joy, and taking the time to toast the people we love.
These segments were especially meaningful because we filmed several back-to-back live appearances at Sienna Restaurant in El Dorado Hills alongside the wonderful Karoline Platt, Matt Magee, and their incredibly talented Executive Chef, Megan Hawkins. While we filmed at the El Dorado Hills location, where we enjoyed and shared the stunning vineyard views from the outdoor patio, complete with a fireplace and a magnificent oak tree, both of their beautiful Northern California locations, El Dorado Hills and Roseville, are featuring Christianne’s Golden Mimosa through Mother’s Day. Be sure to visit and support them, along with all of our amazing participants from coast to coast. See the full list and the recipe HERE.
It was also a full-circle moment for me. I first collaborated with Sienna 13 years ago, hosting a wine pairing dinner with Silver Oak Winery, inspired by the recipes from my first cookbook, Christianne’s Herbal Kitchen. The team created a beautifully curated four-course menu based entirely on those dishes- an experience that remains one of the most cherished memories of my culinary journey.

This visit was also special for another reason. My mom was by my side to watch the live segments and film behind-the-scenes footage that we’re so excited to share here. Having her there made the day incredibly emotional and meaningful, especially because it was the very first time she had the chance to try Christianne’s Golden Mimosa- the special cocktail inspired by my memories of Mother’s Day. Being able to toast together, reflecting on those moments from my childhood, made the celebration even more special. By the way, she liked it so much that she had two.
While we were there, we also had the opportunity to enjoy several of Sienna’s delicious brunch offerings. The Lobster Eggs Benedict was a true standout, featuring a succulent lobster tail topped with perfectly poached eggs and a vibrant hollandaise that added a bright, citrusy note. Served with an arugula side salad and champagne vinaigrette, it's a wonderful memory-making meal, especially when paired with their stunning outdoor views. Another favorite was their Short Rib Eggs Benedict, a rich and comforting dish with tender, slow-braised short rib, poached eggs, and silky hollandaise that melted beautifully into every bite. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The combination of these savory brunch classics with the cocktail’s bright, citrus-forward sparkle created the perfect pre-Mother’s Day pairing.
What I love most about moments like this is how food, place, and relationships continue to evolve and become even more meaningful. From that first wine pairing dinner years ago to this Mother’s Day feature, it has been such a joy to continue working together and creating new memories.
If you have the chance, I hope you’ll visit one of our incredible venue partners and try it for yourself. If you do, tell them Christianne sent you- and don’t forget to share your signature “cheers” to the camera on social media with the hashtag #GoldenMimosa. I always love seeing your photos and hearing your thoughts. I’ll do my best to send our own "cheers" to every one of you.
Here’s to celebrating moms everywhere- one golden sip at a time.
xo,
Christianne
