For me, Mother’s Day has always been synonymous with mimosas. My mother and grandmothers rarely drank during the year, yet every Mother’s Day, they’d celebrate with a flute of champagne, juice, and flowers. As a child, I’d be handed my own flute filled with sparkling water and orange juice. Even then, I felt like I was part of the celebration, honoring generations of women and all they had done to shape the family we are today.
I couldn’t wait to become a mom myself- to join the “mom club,” filled with love, laughter, hard work, happiness, education, sacrifice, and so much more I didn’t even fully understand. Deep down, I also knew I wanted to carry on this little ritual that celebrated women in a unique, meaningful way. It was more than a drink; it was a tradition, a quiet acknowledgment of the women who came before me and the joy of marking life’s special moments together.
Years later, a mimosa was the first drop of alcohol I ever tasted.

As an adult, mimosas have become far more than a Mother’s Day treat. I adore them and love experimenting with exciting new variations. Earlier this year, in my kitchen, I created what has now become one of my favorite cocktails: Christianne’s Golden Mimosa. My husband always knows when something exciting is happening in the kitchen- it begins the same way, with me calling out, “Oh my god, you have to try this!” Whether he’s across the room, in the kitchen right next to me, or I’m pulling him in, every magical moment of cooking creation and discovery happens there, surrounded by the tools that bring joy to our everyday life. The golden color shines in the glass and carries so many meanings. It honors mothers as the radiant and precious heart of the family. It’s also a nod to our incredible 8-year-old daughter, Livia, who made me a mom and can sing Golden like she’s Rumi in Huntrix, protecting the Honmoon.

I’m thrilled to finally share this special cocktail recipe with all of you. Even more exciting? This luxurious drink will be featured on menus at incredible venues across the U.S. from today through Mother’s Day. Each venue is unique, with breathtaking views, exquisite design, and delicious food- perfect for pairing with this sparkling, elevated cocktail. The full list of venues carrying Christianne’s Golden Mimosa is below the recipe, and I hope you’ll support them throughout the month.
Christianne’s Golden Mimosa is an elegant evolution beyond the classic champagne and juice. It features pineapple and apple juice, triple sec, brandy, and the fabulous Gratsi Brut from France, finished with a squeeze of fresh lime and a light microplane of cinnamon. I first used Gratsi Brut in my own kitchen while creating this recipe, and I’m so excited to share their delicious zero-sugar brut with all of you. There’s no added sugar in this cocktail beyond what’s naturally present in the fruit juices and orange liqueur, making it the perfect sparkling finish.

This mimosa is elevated in flavor and in spirit- a celebration of women, tradition, and a little indulgence. Celebrate throughout the month, whether you’re a mom, a future mom, supporting moms, or simply honoring your own mom- so yes, everyone. I’ll be toasting to you, my ancestors, and my not-so-little baby girl- for the young lady she is today and the remarkable woman she’ll one day become.
I hope you love it as much as I do.
