It’s been a minute since I was swaddling a newborn and changing diapers every day. When we set out to create a roundup of the newest tech and gear designed to make life easier for babies and new parents, I enlisted the help of my friend Brittany- a new mom- to put everything to the test.

Here are our thoughts on the best tech and fun finds for newborns, babies, and their overworked, underslept parents in our FoodFamilyTravel.com Spring 2026 Baby Guide.

From their award-winning Bathtime Adventure Set to their new Fold ‘n Store 3 Stage Baby Bathtub, Jool baby has been on our radar and on your social feeds for a while. Two products from the brand made our list because of their ability to grab and hold a kiddo’s attention, and both happen to be musical. The Dolphin Bath Bubble Maker turns bathtime into an instant dance party by blowing a stream of bubbles while playing cheerful music which keeps the little one happily distracted while their personal assistant gets all the actual work done.

Outside the tub, the Musical Spoons have been a big hit at mealtime. The lights and playful, themed-sounds make self-feeding fun. Each musical toy attachment comes with 3 spoons, are easy to clean, and keeps the kiddo engaged at the table so the flow of mealtime keeps moving.

Mosquito protection for babies and toddlers can be tricky but these BuzzPatch stickers by NatPat made things so much easier. Just stick one on clothing or a stroller and the plant-based essential oils help keep mosquitoes away. Since little ones already love stickers, this turns bug protection into something quick, easy, and totally cute. The company has a whole line for kids as well that spans everything from sleep promotion to nasal congestion relief.

PatPat has been showing up everywhere lately, and once we tried their anti-slip, bamboo 2-way footie onesies, it was easy to see why. This one checks several boxes right away. It has the two-way zippers which we consider mandatory for anything that enters the baby’s closet because midnight diaper changes are hard enough. Our favorite feature is the anti -slip footie which is not something you always get with other brands. Plus, PatPat has a variety of clothing options with PJs that come with matching hats, shirt-and-pant sets, and cute character designs, including swimwear. The family-owned, California-based company gets bonus points for their ethically sourced bamboo blend fabric that’s so soft and stretchy, it makes us wish an adult-sized version was included!

The Fuzzy Sprout

This wearable hooded baby bath towel by The Fuzzy Sprout quickly became one of our favorite bath-time essentials. The soft organic cotton is incredibly gentle on baby’s skin, super absorbent, and large enough to fully wrap around a 25-lb wiggly baby. What really makes it stand out is the wearable design so you keep both hands free while wrapping up a squirmy kiddo. The bathtub exit is now an easy one-person event.

3 SMART TECH BABY FINDS: A new generation of baby gear puts smart features into everyday parenting routines

The Lullapod Max quickly becomes an indispensable part of parenting.

This is one of those nursery items that quickly becomes the command center for long nights and early mornings, and is the one luxurious nursery must-have that keeps parents in mind. The Lullapod Max takes the classic rocking chair idea and upgrades it with some serious comfort-focused tech. It swivels, glides, reclines, holds your phone, has storage, and even includes a gentle air cushion massage feature that pampers parents during marathon feeding sessions.

What really stands out is how adjustable everything is: the armrests, headrest, backrest, and footrest can all be positioned according to each person. With so much invested into your baby, this glider invests back into YOU. It’s available through Mamazing, which is a company focused on innovative comfort. Overall, this glider and recliner combo is one of those pieces that starts as a nursery essential but will end up staying in the house long after the baby phase is over.

When fever or sickness inevitably enters the household, these Traxit wearable underarm thermometers by NexTemp need to be within arm's reach. Instead of chasing a squirmy baby with a thermometer every few hours, you just place the small sticker under their arm and it continuously shows their temperature for up to 48 hours. What we liked most is how easy the sticker stays put, is gentle on the skin, and lets you quickly do a fever check without waking them up. Want to know the latest reading? Just look down.

What looks like a sleek changing pad is actually an AI-powered baby hub with a built-in scale, night light, sound machine, and tracker that logs things like diapers, feeds, sleep, and weight. The Smart Changing Pad by Woddle turns something you’re already using constantly into a smart station that keeps everything organized in one place because details can become hazy when you’re running on three hours of sleep. The tushy warmer itself is worth it so it’s not so cold during changing times. It’s one of the most tech-forward baby products we’ve seen and illustrates the future of parenting.

Parenting may never be effortless, but the right tools can make it feel much more manageable, whether you're a first-time parent or on your fourth child. These are the pieces that turn daily routines into smoother moments- and help bring a bit of calm to the beautiful chaos of parenthood.
