Fontainebleau Las Vegas: A Magical Michelin-Rated Holiday Experience

If you’re looking for an unforgettable holiday getaway in Las Vegas, Fontainebleau Las Vegas should be at the top of your list. One of the Strip’s newest resorts is already proving to be one of its most coveted luxury properties, earning the distinction of being the city’s only Michelin One Key–rated resort and a 5-star world-class destination. This season, Fontainebleau transforms its third-floor pool deck into a breathtaking winter wonderland. The celebrated Oasis Ice Rink, open now through January 4, 2026, glows with a perfect winter-blue light, offering real ice skating, cozy cabanas, fire pits, and festive treats- an experience that captures the best of the holidays without ever leaving the Strip.
Spanning nearly 7,500 square feet, the rink turns the pool deck into a snow-kissed playground, where friends and families can glide across the ice beneath the soft, shimmering glow of holiday lights. It’s straight out of a holiday movie, complete with rink-side movie nights for an extra touch of seasonal cheer.
This year, my family and I were lucky enough to immerse ourselves in the full Fontainebleau holiday experience, and it was absolutely magical. We stayed in a King Cabana with a fire pit, which became our cozy home base for the evening. Plush seating, warm blankets, and a roaring fire made it the perfect spot to relax, sip cocktails, and watch the rink come alive (trust me, you want to cuddle in a blanket by the fire pit after a few rounds on the ice). You can even grab a s’mores kit to roast over the flames while enjoying a warming drink- a festive indulgence that truly makes the season sparkle.
Ice Skating & Holiday Shows

The Oasis Ice Rink offers something for everyone. Skaters can glide across the ice, take in the glowing winter-blue ambiance, and feel fully immersed in the festive atmosphere. There are even “walkers” (choose between an adorable reindeer or seal) for new ice skaters to build confidence. For a special holiday twist, Fontainebleau is hosting Nutcracker on Ice, performed by the Stars of Las Vegas Ice Theater, with shows on December 18 at 6:30 PM. For schedules of other ice shows, check the resort’s calendar- there’s truly something special happening almost every night.
If skating isn’t in the cards, there are holiday movies on the rink-side screen at 5:15 PM and 8:15 PM, live DJs on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 6 PM, and watch parties for Vegas Golden Knights games, NFL matchups, and the National Finals Rodeo. The resort also offers The Good Time Carolers on December 20, 24, and 25, and of course, photos with Santa from December 20–25, 6–10 PM.
Seasonal Bites & Drinks

The food and beverage options at Fontainebleau keep you filled with more than the holiday spirit. We started with a 10-inch vampire-style steak quesadilla with guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream, and crispy chicken tenders with house-made kettle chips and ranch dressing- perfect for sharing (or not, if you worked up an appetite on the ice).
The cocktails were just as festive. We tried the Tangerine Tidings, a sparkling mix of Maker’s Mark, lemon, maple, and Topo Chico Sabores Tangerine soda. But my personal favorite was the Tinseltown Punch, featuring Don Julio Reposado, spiced pear, apple cider, grenadine, and Winter Spiced Cranberry Sprite. For those who prefer zero-proof options, Fontainebleau offers creative holiday “dirty sodas” like the Holiday Hazelnut, made with Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, coconut milk, and hazelnut. And for a cozy adult treat, try a spiked hot cocoa, with Baileys, Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, or Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey.
VIP Cabana & Fire Pit Experiences

For the ultimate evening, Fontainebleau offers private Fire Pit Lounges and cabanas. We loved the King Fire Pit experience, which fits up to 10 guests, comes with a minimum food and beverage spend, and offers the perfect mix of privacy and festive cheer. It was wonderful to have a lovely home base to return to in between sessions on the ice and walking the beautiful grounds at Fontainebleau. It comes complete with a television, refrigerator, credenza, and safe to protect your valuables when you're on the go.
Premium fire pits and smaller lounges are also available- so whether you’re with friends, family, or a mix of both, there’s an option for every group.
A Holiday Night to Remember
From the moment you step onto the ice rink to the last sip of a festive cocktail by the fire, Fontainebleau delivers a truly elevated holiday experience. Between the Michelin-rated luxury, gourmet bites, ice skating, s’mores, and dazzling entertainment, it’s no wonder families and friends return year after year to make memories here.
Whether you’re a local looking for a magical evening out or visiting Las Vegas for the holidays, Oasis Ice Rink at Fontainebleau is the place to be. Lace up your skates, bundle up, and prepare for a night of laughter, joy, and holiday magic you won’t forget.
