Ahhhhhhhh... Amazon Prime Day- when I spend wayyyyy too much money on things I may or may not need. Fortunately for you guys, I'm only sharing my absolute favorite purchases from Amazon and must-haves for travel or just... life. I shopped and spent a fortune, so you can save some cash on the good stuff ;)
Portable Charger 35000mAh Power Bank: https://amzn.to/4lNv7fI
Tropical heat can drain batteries fast, and you don’t want to be without your tech because you didn’t plan properly. Thankfully, this charger can handle multiple devices at once with 4 built-in cables. You can also charge your devices several times because it has a capacity of 35000 mAh. I first heard about it from a lovely British passenger on a cruise who was kind enough to charge my phone on a shore excursion when I desperately needed it. And SHE heard about it from a passenger on a flight she took from the US. I feel like this is the charger that avid travelers notice and immediately buy. We even use it daily at home on all our devices. Tip - because the battery has such a large capacity, make sure you allow plenty of time to charge it once it’s drained.
AirTag (& Find My feature) 4 pack: https://amzn.to/4kpOOc3
If you’d rather relax by the pool than wonder when your suitcase will reach your suite on embarkation day, pop an Apple AirTag into every checked bag- it’s one of our travel essentials. It lets us quietly track our luggage from check-in at the airport to hotel and more, so we know exactly when it’s arrived and can settle in stress-free. Once we’re unpacked, we reuse the AirTags- placing them in my purse, my husband’s wallet, and our daughter’s backpack for every adventure. If you’re on a tour with several tour buses- you can even drop an AirTag on your seat on the sprinter bus to make it easier to find.
Make sure you turn on the “Find My” feature (for Apple users) and have all travel companions share their location. This utility has saved me more than once! A few months ago, we were exploring Tasmania on a cruise excursion. We stopped at several shops along the way and were headed back to the ship when I realized I didn’t have my phone! Thankfully, I had activated my international data plan and my husband opened his “Find My” app to locate my phone. I inadvertently set it down when we were in a lavender shop. We navigated back to the shop and averted what would have been a total disaster!
Laneige Lip Mask: https://amzn.to/4eH3a6H
Our family has a nightly ritual- choose your lip mask before bed. We have six different lip masks on my nightstand at all times, and while you can’t go wrong with Berry (it’s my daughter’s favorite), my personal favorite is this Vanilla Laneige Mask. It’s a must for life AND travel. Put a little on at the beginning of a long flight and you’ll be set with beautiful, plush lips when you land.
Compression Packing Cubes: https://amzn.to/44CV9uO
Packing cubes are a must every time we travel. It helps you organize and save space in your suitcase. We even use color-coded packing cubes for different types of items- formal or cocktail nights, beachwear, warm weather/cold weather, etc. We have a variety of brands and sizes, but my favorites are compression packing cubes. Perfect if you’re on an Alaskan or Northern European cruise where you’ll need bulkier clothes. It can compress a puffy jacket into a shockingly small cube. We also repurpose the smaller cubes once we’re on the cruise for shore excursions or pool days where we want cubes to help separate items in a tote bag.
Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine: https://amzn.to/3GhGH3A
This may be my favorite Amazon purchase of all time. I purchased it during last year’s Prime Sale after my brother bought it and recommended it (he texted me non-stop about it for almost a year). It’s fabulous for those of us who are trying to break a bad Starbucks habit and it’s powerful enough to create wonderful foam. My go-to drink to make is a double almond cappuccino with DaVinci Natural Almond syrup. I use my Breville every single day when we’re not traveling.
Happy Shopping!
