If you thought the holiday sales ended on Cyber Monday, think again. Travel Tuesday is here, and it has become the single biggest travel deal day of the year. Airlines, hotels, cruise lines, and major online travel platforms are rolling out flash sales, surprise promo codes, and some of the deepest discounts you’ll see all year.

In case you missed our segments on Fox and ABC, here are the best Travel Tuesday 2025 deals and the strategies to help you take full advantage of them.

What Is Travel Tuesday?

Travel Tuesday is always the Tuesday after Cyber Monday, and it has quickly become the travel industry’s Black Friday. Brands use this date to release limited-time offers, publish deep discounts, and open short booking windows that often don’t appear any other time of year. From international flight sales to hotel flash deals, travelers can save significantly if they know where to look.

How Much You Can Save

This year, travelers can save up to 75 percent on select hotels, 50 percent or more on cruises, and secure deeply discounted airfare, including international routes. Families can find especially strong value, with some cruise lines offering “kids sail free” or “extra guest sail free” promotions.

Top Tips to Score the Best Travel Tuesday Deals

Start early. Most deals drop before sunrise- often as early as 12:01 a.m. Eastern. The lowest fares and room categories tend to sell out quickly.

Use flexible dates. Applying a flexible 30-day search window can reveal drastically lower prices. Travel Tuesday discounts often apply only on specific outbound and return days, and shifting your trip by even one day can save hundreds.

Search by price, not destination. Tools like Google Flights Explore, Skyscanner’s “Everywhere” feature, Kayak Explore, Hopper, and Momondo allow travelers to view the cheapest destinations from their home airport. This is often the best way to uncover unexpectedly low fares.

Compare airlines and online travel agencies. Some airlines release exclusive direct deals, including free 24-hour cancellation and extra perks. On the other hand, online travel agencies often bundle flight-and-hotel packages that can result in bigger overall savings. Checking both is essential.

Turn on price alerts and notifications. Many Travel Tuesday promo codes and flash sales are distributed only through social media alerts, newsletters, or push notifications from airlines and OTAs. Enabling alerts ahead of time increases your chance of catching limited-time drops.

Verify deals with a price history check. Some “deals” are simply yesterday’s price with a sale tag added. Use tools like Google Flights tracking or ask ChatGPT to compare pricing trends over the last six months to confirm whether the Travel Tuesday rate is genuinely the lowest.

Use cashback tools. Cashback platforms such as TopCashback, Rakuten, and the Honey browser extension can add an extra 5–15 percent in savings on top of Travel Tuesday deals.

Look for perks, not just the lowest price. Many promotions include upgrades, resort credits, free breakfast, reduced deposits, free checked bags, or kids-stay-free offers. These added benefits can sometimes save more money than the discount itself.

Check your passport. Travelers often forget that many countries require at least six months of validity beyond the travel dates. Booking a deal without meeting those entry requirements can cause major headaches later.

Know when Travel Tuesday won’t help. If you’re flying during Christmas week, Spring Break, or major festival dates, Travel Tuesday will not significantly reduce those fares. The best value is found in long-haul travel, shoulder-season travel, and 2026 international bookings, often leaving on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday.

Why Travel Tuesday Matters This Year

With prices fluctuating and international demand rising for 2026, Travel Tuesday provides one of the last opportunities to lock in long-haul flights, luxury stays, and cruise vacations at steeply discounted rates. For families, couples, and remote professionals planning ahead, the savings can be substantial- sometimes cutting the cost of a dream trip by half or more.

Happy traveling!
